Accurate Asphalt Paving - Paving 101

Paving 101

Excavation

  • For majority of jobs we excavate to an average depth of 12″ using a backhoe and on occasion a 120 excavator
  • Crushed asphalt, T-base, or processed gravel will be brought in at an average thickness of 10 – 12″
  • Gravel is then rough graded and compacted
  • Final grading is completed with our paver and compacted twice with our roller

*Excavation depths and gravel thickness can vary slightly depending on grades and soil conditions.
